Perhaps the next conference should refer to itself as Applied Materials Science plus Art and Imagination. The presentations were so engrossing I completely forgot to work on organizing funding for college art-meets-engineering contests. Oregon weather was on good behaviour through the entire four-day conference.

Ferrocementers are geared to think about the long haul; a conference rainbow of individual perspectives seemed anchored well within this parameter. Enthused rapport created an exquisitely polite and energetic ambience for both high and low tech. Wonderful spirit!
Sticky back fiberglass being applied to metal electrical conduit fabricated into an equilateral pyramid (60 degree angles). The curved plane is straight in one direction everywhere.

Different angles create variations. Notice more pyramids in the background, these are components of a roof system. The bare cross pieces are removed later.

Strong even now!
