Welcome/Home

Lift the first fabric layer into position and apply a thick layer of acrylic/cement slurry. This requires some patience and attention to detail. The rain gutter is so light that pulling the fabric straight lifted it, a brick placed in the center was sufficient to maintain position.

Apply a fresh slurry to the second fabric layer still in the rain gutter and place it on the first. Smooth wrinkles with a gloved hand. Apply more slurry to the roof and the water flow channel of the rain gutter.

Fifty-three minutes was required for one person alone. Subtract about 13 minutes for photos and perhaps another 20 minutes for climbing up and down the ladder and other tasks of a solitary worker to estimate the time required for two people at about 20 minutes.

Wait 24 hours to add upper end and double layer fabric support strips, which extend all the way around and up the backside of the rain gutter. Wait another 24 hours, smooth gently with carpenter's tools, where needed, and apply final mixture coat. Plastering with cement and acrylic mixture and loose fiber using a small sculptor's trowel can also begin at this point.

Total retail material cost to this point is $US 1.50 per foot, about 4.50 per Meter = € 3,50 / M.
